Ok a quick run through om my cam setup.

My camera is a Creative Live Cam Optia which will run at 30 frames per second (true video) although for live streaming aplications its running at 15 frames per second. !t has active face tracking and video effects to enhance its performance. This is connected to my pc via a usb 2 port.

To transmit the video stream i use Windows Media Encoder 9 which is conected by DSL to the Camstream servers. When there server detects a demand for my stream (ie someone looks at my cam page) it takes my stream and displays it via windows media player through my camstreams site or through this page via an embeded player!
